Practice Areas: Worker's Compensation
Kelly decided to become a lawyer in 7th grade and has never wavered, or regretted, that decision. She has been practicing since 1992 and continues to be passionate about her work and the clients who retain her and the law firm. She was hired as a worker’s compensation clerk during law school and then landed her first job, and every job since, representing injured workers in the maze of their claims. She has spent her entire career working within these complex systems and has intimate knowledge of the law. But what she enjoys the most is working with each individual client to formulate their goals, options, and outcome. She Is grateful for the clients that choose her firm to help them through a difficult chapter in their lives and allow her to assist them in their next steps. She often refers to herself as a Life Coach, because many times it’s more than just the case: it is helping clients reinvent themselves after a significant injury and finding significance again in their lives.
Kelly earned her law degree from Capital University where she served on the Student Bar Association. She earned her B.A. from Grove City College in Pennsylvania where she was named the Outstanding Leader of her class. Kelly worked for a couple different WC firms before deciding to join her husband, Stan Willis, in his private practice in 2001. Together, they established Willis & Willis which began in a small office with a part-time paralegal, but soon grew to include other areas and many amazing team members through the years. She and Stan have three grown children, none of whom are studying law (a question they are often asked) and a grandchild. She has served as a 4H advisor, on several different boards and in various volunteer capacities during her career. These days, she spends her free time on the lake, with her family, riding her horse, walking her dogs, working out, or learning to play pickle ball, but she is still avoiding the game of golf.
